About TPI.tv

TPI.tv - connecting and inspiring people to facilitate the acceleration towards animal-free innovation.

Laboratory animals are being used for basic science, translational science, regulatory assessments and education. Since animal studies are not always the best predictor for humans and due to ethical concerns on animal welfare, animal-free innovations are needed and increasingly used. However, many of these innovations are not widely known and applied. Increasing the visibility and showing the potential of animal-free innovations is crucial to accelerate animal-free science for all
purposes. Enter: TPI.tv.

TPI.tv works like a market place. Stop by and find the experts from whom you can learn, whose missions connect with yours and with whom you can exchange information, knowledge or data to accelerate animal-free innovations. Maybe you will even find things on TPI.tv you didn’t search for but which turn out to be very useful! And if you want to share your expertise or question, make a video yourself. Video is the best way to reach and mobilise your community.

TPI.tv contains over 100 videos covering a wide array of innovations, experts views, questions, projects and initiatives, and meetings and conferences. While the videos provide an accessible way to get introduced to a topic, each video contains a wealth of information behind it through links to publications, protocols, websites and more.

TPI.tv invites all professionals involved in the transition towards animal-free science to contribute: researchers, research funders, startups, industrials, test-developers, regulators, policymakers, etc. The TPI.tv team, currently at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), curates the platform to make sure that what is submitted in fits with this mission.
